Dr Bridget Vincent explores the relationship between Australian poet Judith Wright’s work and her activism, based on new research in Wright’s personal papers. While Wright was careful to keep a distance between her poetic and political commitments, the archives reveal surprising rhetorical continuities between the poetry and the aesthetic dimensions of her other writings.
