Amos Enders-Moje comes from a long line of traditional glass-cutters. His works differ from those of his ancestors however, as he gives new life to used products such as old TV sets, beer and wine bottles, and concrete cores. With these discarded materials he creates glasses, milk jugs, coasters, sushi platters, jewellery, pendant lights and sculptures. His work is a shining example of how design work from recycled materials can transcend their initial life and be reborn. Using this process Amos has made many of Hotel Hotel’s in-room and bar and lounge glassware, as well as pendant lights, vases and sculptures.
For Amos, the son of master glass worker Klaus Moje, his practice is part of a lifetime surrounded by glass artistry. Few in the world have the privilege of such an apprenticeship and the ability to act upon it.
