Dutch artist Batia Suter’s found photographic practice spans the topographical, historical and genuinely enigmatic. Created between 2008 and 2010 — and originally conceived for a site-specific installation at Culturgest Porto — Surface Series draws upon enlarged photographic images and fragments from other books to forge a textural and poetic study of surface, image and place. Stunningly published by Roma Publications (Amsterdam) and brought to us by Idea Books (Amsterdam).
