Mexican Modernism
‘Modern Mexico’ – Mexico after the Mexican Revolution (that ended in 1920) and its subsequent independence from Spain. An exhibition of photographs that at once witnessed and created a new post-revolutionary identity for Mexico and showed a new way – the traditional and the modern, the agrarian and the industrial. At the same time these photographers developed a very particular and immensely influential modernist style.
